Flashpan, I think its great - its exactly what you want for a journey of that length - though I do think some long life snacks (seeds and raisins, that sort of thing) would be a good addition. Some tissues/toilet paper? Its just over 10 miles, a quick google says.
Very glad to see you've put an A-Z in there - if the main roads are blocked, even by the numbers of police vans needed to deal with the actual event, you don't want to take a side road that soon curves off in exactly the wrong direction.

Re: Mrs Finally Has a BOB!
Has she broken those boots in before taking them? they look horridly similar to the compressed carboard Dickies safety boots work "provides" for us.... i really wouldnt want to stand about at work in them let alone walk any distance they cripple my feet! , a cheap pair of trainers or an old worn out pair of walking boots (like i have dumped at work) would probably do her better....
If the Mozzie spray is Deet based? take it out the bag! (Deet dissolves / melts most plastics and strips paint and varnish)

as Arzosah says i was thinking more long life snacks boiled sweets for example, something to give a bit of a sugar rush and keep up spirits goes a long way in a bad situation.. lets be fair if you stashed 2 galaxy bars in there by the time she got to work this morning she would have scoffed the lot
as for change of smalls i keep a change of trousers and shirt at work (light thin hill walking stuff) so if i get drenched walking to work i can get dry and changed.... its not all end of the world stuff getting caught in a torrental downpour on the way into work can be a bad way to start the day especially if its a monday

Thanks for all you comments guys
The boots are not broken in greatly. I only managed to get her to wear them indoors for an afternoon. I did however got medieval on the heals with a rolling pin. The whole boot was already quite soft out of the box but the toe was very stiff. I only put the boots in as an option. She doesn't war massive heals to work and think she is ok with wearing/walking in them for quite a while. The boots where mainly for a bad weather (snow/rain/cold) situation and I treated the leather parts with dubbin as well.
The most direct route from her office to our home is only 5.5 miles and 1hr 50mins (apparantly)
Toiletries...hmm..well..I did include a few of those prepacked wet wipes in the tin (type you get a KFC), fresh underwear - she can survive the night with what she's got or double up and turn what she's wearing inside out
I did intend to include some feminine hygiene but then just completely forgot to add in a few (something I'll try and rectify)
I honestly did think about some sort of snack food but couldn't find anything small enough with a very long shelf life. I may look to get her to stash in some boiled sweets as I think they can last a very long time in storage.
The mozy spray is the kids stuff you get form £land so no Deet in it as far as I am aware.
So I guess a bit more to be added or tweaked but at least for now she's in a much better position than before.

You could probably pack out the cheapy FAK with extra plasters and brufen etc, she'll probably not notice. One of the camping towels might be handy too, they fold down really small. Anything is better than nothing and there's no good putting in stuff that you know she'll not use even if it makes sense to you. Its good that she's taking it though, I know I had a bit of a 'hallelujah moment' when Her Maj agreed to her car bag.

The one I have is brilliant, I've dried myself off after swiming with itno problems, and it'll go in a pocket (don't know the make though)Deeps wrote:You could probably pack out the cheapy FAK with extra plasters and brufen etc, she'll probably not notice.
