T minus 2 hours and counting
Generators in place , I'm throwing our main switch at 7.30 and locking it off . H&S first I mean how will the world survive post SHTF without it , it would be a bleak , desolate, unruly place to without H&S experts. I drift off topic
Tanks filled. 17 hours long range on 7.5 kw
6 on 2.5 kw
Wife instructed on how to refill wee one .
So Scottish Power , do your worse .
And if all fails , we'll decamp to horsebox.

Hardly worth it
Two local power poles replaced
Total down time of 3 hours
Well the Genny's got a run

Time to drain the fuel out and store.

Until next week

Gave you a wee trial run too mate, no harm in going over these things. I think my next big purchase will be a briefcase genie, I'll need to start saving though, Her Maj would go tonto if she knew how much they cost.

I wouldn't worry too much about not getting to use your preps , important thing is that you had them in place in the first case.

That's a good idea, it certainly gives me a bit of 'wiggle room'.

  or you could try the "its been in the wardrobe for ages, you just never notice when I buy new things" or "I knew you weren't listening when I told you about getting this"
