Seriously, I do find it fascinating how everything has gone full circle and well stocked pantries are back 'in fashion' (see also thread on Germany). Different threat, same old back up plans

I bet the tinned food manufacturers are loving it

Yep, Oh and just for reference....... I did say I would be using this list as a starting point....800g chocolate indeed Let me tell you, I have 4KG of best 70% Belgian chocolate in my cupboard on any given day:lol: (it was 5KG but we've had a few batches of Brownies )

I'm not necessarily in agreement on quantity, but I think the list is a sound starting point. I probably won't put in much pickled or tinned veg, and will include dehydrated veg. I'm also thinking of some home dehydrated quick cook beans instead of just dried beans. It's actually quite fun to be putting together.

Good grief!!! I would have to swap out the tinned fish for more chocolate, a low stock would have me twitching and then it would be very unpleasant for the residents at chez Decaff
