Hi new user an stumbled across this thread . Ive been a crossbow user in the uk for years . Before you purchase any check up on the laws and id suggest joining a bow club .

There is one site i can reccomend with great security checks to stop items falling into underage hands
http://www.bladesandbows.co.uk/

Ive used them plenty times . Also for spare you could try amazon believe it or not .

Remember hunting with them in the uk is illegal.
Target practice is not

I can hardly believe I or someone hadn't said that already in this thead, we generally do for anything which fires something twang, bang, or phut.
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

I think no one said anything because this post subject was about a company, not the using of said item, however its been covered several times in other posts.

Indeed the very title of the company is a bit dubious considering UK bow hunting laws.

I have purchased my equipment from BladesAndBows.co.uk - never had a problem with these guys.
All arrived next day, so must be uk based.
Sometimes (like now) they go off line for various reasons... restocking, Christmas break, etc. You can browse, but you cant order till they come back online.

It's in my bookmarks but I can't remember where we actually got ours, great fun but you have to respect the power of the things, get a target that can stop the bolts and be sure that if you miss there's nothing it can pass straight through into anything or anyone else! We've all heard stories of holy sheds, fences etc so be safe ;)

Well, Erm, yes.

But they do sell blades as well. I got mine and my ladies knifes from there, and our pack hatchet.

But yes, their bows are good as well.

It's possible that's why they were in my bookmarks, those of us who like things which go bang, twang, and phut, also have a thing about sharp and pointy things  we would say we like to collect them, but I'm afraid others would have other words for it

Erm yes - I have some of those things as well. They are sitting in their original boxes, (again from B&B). I did put one of them together to check things (laser sight, all parts ready to go etc) but did not finish assembly as I did not want to be tempted to take them out for 'a play'. I guess mine go phut (out of the sound options). Got myself a large (175ilb) phut-er, and my wife a self cocking 80ilb hand phut-er.
