Unexpected Additional Survival Kit ?
Re: Unexpected Additional Survival Kit ?
Deeps, that is the truth.
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.
Robert Frost.
Covid 19: After that level of weirdness ,any situation is certainly possible.
Me.

Re: Unexpected Additional Survival Kit ?
I carry a lot of crap in my pockets, including some that could be seen as 'survival' but a lot more that would be practical although unusual for most people to have in their pockets.
As for our 'bags', I'm sort of without a 'get home bag' these days, my requirement to have that extended one has passed and I've not evolved it into something more like yours. I will, I do need to have a hotel/hospital bag and half the stuff is still lying around the rucksack in a spare room but I've not formalised it yet. Its on the 'to do' list, creeping towards the top of it.

I’m not exactly an island per se...still would have a bridge or ferry to the mainland
I’m just not sure most people would remain the same in an aftermath of any sort, some of us might, but others might be out for themselves. I’m amiable enough when need be...but ever on the side of caution. Meaning in a way, when things are readily available to loan or even give to others, including practical assistance in a normal situation....but when things might not be so predictable or materials are in very short supply...the ‘need nothings’ might be in conflict with those who are the ‘need everythings’ no matter who owns them.
Also, when protecting supplies for yourself and family and/or group...but others in a similar family and/or group are unprepared...need to provide supplies by whatever means in some cases, usually from the former...
You see how quickly people change on reality survival shows, when challenges are faced and options are removed...whether having enough food, etc., to be a bit more lax...or when on strict rationing.
I’d rather just argue with myself...that way I’ll always win !
