Thanks for all the replies, really useful info. Sounds like freeze dried food works well for bug-out bags and hiking where weight and shelf life matter, but maybe less so for a main long-term stash. Some recommend rotating normal food instead, which makes sense for everyday use. I’ll definitely try some small packs first to check taste and quality before buying big. Also good to know about checking expiry dates carefully. Appreciate the honest feedback on whether freeze dried meals are worth the price or just fancy instant noodles.
