http://www.ukbumpkeys.com/ is a great place to get info for what each device does and some good how too guides, also there forum is great and you will get help off professionals and even some videos showing how they do it .
i brought my complete lock picking set for £35 but as a beginner you could easy get a decent one for £10. i brought a practice board which has a few different locks on it and now i own three boards which are alot harder than the first one i brought.
after you have learnt on ukbumpkeys i would try utube they have some good videos too.
if you get confused on what you need to start let me know and ill go through it with you
