2012 weekly challenge or prep.

How are you preparing

Great thread. Only just saw it.

Last week did some dehydrating of carrots, and bought a puppy which hopefully when she's old will earn her keep by being an extra pair of ears and also by helping control vermin. Some tidying of home; trying to declutter.

This week more dehydrating of carrots and training of puppy. Also mammogram. (bleugh, but....) Need to go out and gather broken plastic pots and such from garden and pull up the remaining dead plants. Preparing of workshop/demo of canning that I'm doing for a transition town group.

I must clean out my under the stairs cupboard, take non wanted items to the tip, then I can move a flat packed chicken coop out of my prepping cupboard and into the under the stairs, this giving me a hell of a lot more room in my prepping cupboard.

If I can get this done next week, then I can prepare shelving and really get organised and sorted in my prepping cupboard.
Well, I cleaned out the under the stairs cupboard, but the flat packed chicken coop wouldn't fit in

OK then, the coop may fit behind the settee, will give that a go tomorrow, mind you, the food prepping cupboard is looking spacious without the chicken coop in there.

I'm skint, and the TV license is due next week, so no preps that cost money for the next few weeks for me.

Rayman, I pay my TV licence monthly. It works out at £12.18 per month. Appreciate that everyone's circumstances are different, but spreading the cost over a full year works for me, as I don't have to worry about a huge chunk of money coming out of my bank in one go.

I remember when I started doing the monthly payments, but only when I signed up and the first DD went out did I find that they took double money the first year so that at the end of the first year I had already paid for next years licence.

Has this system changed?

I have paid £20.00 as opposed to £12.13 for the past six months - but I swapped my payments from quarterly to monthly halfway through the year.

I just got my new licence and the payments are £12.13 a month. I haven't payed anything forward, though, I think the 'over' payments were so that I wasn't in any arrears when my new licence came through.

If I cancelled my tv licence tomorrow, they wouldn't owe me any money, and vice versa.
