4 tins of Branston beans are £1 in ASDA every couple of weeks. However, I have been watching the price and it has moved from £2 to £1.50 to £1.28 and back up again but it has not gone below £1.28 for months. I am thinking that the days of 25p a tin are gone forever. Gutted.

i worked in kwiksave when it went to 3p a tin for no frills brand baked beans. ;)

I know ALDI did a 4p tin of beans and they were awful. All liquid and no beans.

However, I did like the Kwiksave beans and sausages. I think they were 29p and the tins were much bigger than just a normal tin of beans. Are kwiksave still going? I know a couple near me have shut down in the last couple of years but not at the same time. They have either closed of become something else.

Kwiksave is GONE! - the went into receivership in 2007 and the "KwikSave" brand is now owned by "CostCutters"
