Unless they modify the air-rifle I wouldn't have thought it would be a major issue tbh.

But if you didn't want to run that risk then only barter them in small numbers so that the 'customer' would become relient on you and wouldn't have a large enough stockpile to pester you...

Looking at those last few posts, I reckon that UNLESS you REALLY need something-and s has htf, then you will not want to barter anything. Let me explain. If someone had say a pack of painkillers, and a family member was ill, I would HAVE to barter the tin of 500 pellets. If it was a barter for anything less than that kind of thing I could not do it. Those 500 pellets represent 500 meals in theory. That item is a big ask, and do not underestimate the potential damage that a wrong 'un could do you with them if he wanted more from you. An airgun can kill a man, don't think otherwise. Hell, my hunting catapults could do that.

So, if you have what others want, and no one is making anymore , it is best to keep it for yourself, unless you absolutely have to trade for an essential item.

As I don't drink I am counting on alcohol and being able to make it affordably for any purposes, liquid for fuel or for drinking. If I know for instance, a plumber who likes a bottle of wine, why don't I just trade some home made for some work on my sinks etc. ?

I have taken delivery of some nutrient for yeast and I want to see what percentage I can get with a basic sugar wash, a wine yeast and the nutrient in the right proportions.

As a former smokers I agree. And you can take just one pack in your pocket to trade. Nobody will no how much you have if you just have one with you.
