No your perfectly fine,your dog can run around snapping wabbits all day lol u do need permision to hunt from the land owner but I know from expierance that if your dog gets arabbit while out walking that's perfectly fine.ye I come from a long line of coursing enthusiasts myself so love most aspects of hunting

The ban has led to hares being all but wiped out around here.

While I don't know of its impact on population, it certainly seems there is a lot more illegal coursing in our area too. Whether its previously law abiding coursers or just more opportunity for the ones who have always operated in that way...

travellers with running dogs have taken every hare off the grounds i shoot on. i have only ever shot one in thity years of hunting, but loved seeing them on every visit to the farm. constant visits at night by the travellers ,who seem to live in a parallel universe, has seen the end to every one. :evil:

Ye we had a big problem with the travellers in my area also in the past but they seem to have gone over the last year or so and now the hare population is booming once again. I think a few farmers maybe ran the travellers off. Some of them farmers ain't to be messed with lol
