this fact fills me with both worry and wonder!!!....
looked at in the cold light of day it seems all too clear that preppers are very much on their own!!!
what are your views!!!
I have some potential allies but really need to push it along next year.....while it's clear to me that strength will be in numbers, yes, preppers do seem to be very much on their own.

More food and fuel stocks, learn some primitive skills, pay off as much debt as possible, meet up with some folk from here, keep learning, reading, researching and DOING!

Hoping to go along to target practice club and obtain some form of weapon for new hobby!

Work on and extend the vegetable plot in the garden.

Purchase a mill, some wheat a water filter, a garden incinerator and rainwater collection system.

create more storage space for food

buy more stuff for b.o.b's

get outdoors and actually do some of the stuff Ive been reading about.

Improve my health and fitness (in a lot of pain last year) who needs a gallbladder anyway!

Far too much to manage I should think: :?

source wood for burner.
get a good supply of coal.
build on current food preps.
build resource/knowledge library.
continue with veg growing but plant 'better!'
buy fruit trees.
improve household security.
train children in 1st aid, cooking on camp cooker etc etc.
get more fuel for camp cooker and build suitable storage in garden.
consider air rifle.
purchase better winter weather clothing and footwear.
purchase extra clothes (next sizes) for children.
visit car boots etc to look for prepping treasures.............

Another thing someone reminded me of on another forum was Basket Weaving. A very handy skill to learn with loads of applications from chairs to lobster pots. Not too expensive to do a Day Course and learn the basics either.....£30 - £40. Learning skills to make you more useful to a group than just manual labour may be a good way of helping you join the group and survive, there may not be much call for Artic Drivers in the event of a major catastrophy :D
