Welcome to the prepping game!
My grandad's family were in Essex from the Norman conquest so there is a bit of Essex girl in me.
(don't prep in high heels though)

I hunt, I gather, I had a prepped 4x4 until recently, I am an archer and am also looked upon as a bit different by my peers.
By the way, squirrel is tasty so try it.

LOL perhaps I'll try that at some point. :D

What bow do you shoot?

Hello and welcome from another fellow Essex prepper.

Greetings from a fellow newbie :)

Just the fella :) i'm interested in buying a take down recurve bow for target shooting, I have spied the following http://www.bladesandbows.co.uk/olympic- ... -957-p.asp
i'm 5'8 stocky with plenty of muscle I want a decent strength bow but I also want to be able to learn to shoot fast is 40# about right for this purpose or could I even go to 50#?

Any advice you can throw my way would be greatly appreciated, I've also bought a 175# Jaguar Crossbow and 80# armex bobcat pistol crossbow. And no I have not been influenced by Arrow on the TV for anyone wondering. I had a go at archery at my mates stag do in York and enjoyed it and it is a lot harder than it looks :)

Many thanks
