GB if its any help our family went through all this with my daughter though she was not married and there were no children to take into account a very stressful time but we have now come out the other side, all the family accepted it and she now has a partner and they are very happy. My very best wishes for you both I hope that it works out well for you both.

Hey GB well done mate, I have a few friends who did the same over the years and I know first hand how hard that must have been. And you are completely right everyone should have there house in order before a SHTF scenario.

Hi GB

Just wanted to add my two pennys

Im gay also, my wife and i are both dedicated preppers along with our gay best friends..Coming out is a huge step for anyone, esp hard when a family is involved so kudos to u and your wife for being able to deal with the impact sensibly!

good luck for the future to you all

So long as you can all love and know that you are loved in return then things should work out just fine.
Peace of mind is far too precious to let someone take it away for no good reason.

All the best to you and your family.

Thank you all for the kind words (and virtual hugs) and the sense of encouragement and positiveness. Its good to know we are not the only couple who have gone through this whilst still thinking of the future in a prepping sense also.

As stated in previous posts the most important thing is to stay positive and keep moving forward which we both intent to do.
