I can usually buy cheaper than approvedfood at B+M or Tescos taking into account their every day value range. i actually don't rate approved foods prices.
Also, unless you have an allergy to protein and are capable of cooking, then lentils which last for an age, and mung beans are a better bet in some cases than tinned stuff
