Thanks for all your input guys/gals, Have been looking at multi-tools but unsure which to get, any advice is more than welcome

my knowledge of local area is pretty good and know the south west with my eyes closed! I have never relied on satnav or anything fancy, but somehow know which way to head (womens intuition maybe!) but do have local/surrounding area map and uk map in car just incase, bag isnt quite big enough to house it (must buy larger bag!) :?

I see what you mean about the "rope" now haha, thanks

I do have a wire saw on order, which should be here by now!!

Oh, and have the help for heroes paracord bracelet but looking at a keyring type to attach to my bag.

I keep a change of clothes/shoes in my car tanstaafi, is this something you could do to free up some bag space? thats me assuming ill be able to get to my car in SHTF bug out sinario!? I also have some bits at work, (work on a millitary camp) so able to get in 24hrs if needs be. :)

Thanks Mogs good thinking, will have to put a spare car key in my BOB though or I would be standing in me boxers staring at a locked car after jumping out the window

Would defo go for a leatherman, I have the Blast which is great, but its a locker, but I figure it would have to be be a real anal copper to treat it as anything but a multitool.

Well I use a SOG powerassist (B66). It gets lots of use at work and has never let me down yet. So can't ask for anymore than that.
sogknives.com They have quite a range to choose from. :D

Looks like you have a good BOB already there, Mogs. In addition to the other suggestions, I would add a head torch, as it's always good to keep your hands free while performing any tasks. And maybe throw a whistle in there, too. Other than that, great stuff!

Ace. :)

Those wire saws are pretty useless to be honest, better off with a pocket chainsaw.

Be aware though that hotels don't like folks lighting hexi stoves in their rooms ;)

In the UK it might be better to think hotel or B&B rather than sleep in car or run for the woods, especially in the middle of winter for example, not to bad in summer though ;)

If you want to go camping for a few days think camping/bushcraft kit, it is a much easier list to compile, ask pseudonym
