Our excellent engineering design team found this out at work. All the machinery had back-up generators, all the PC control systems had UPS to keep them running in case of power cut (we use lots of high-speed / high temperature machinery and loosing control of it is 'bad'). Unfortunately they forgot to add in all the network distributions boards, so when we got a power cut we could sit and watch all the machines running and do nothing to stop them, with all valves stuck open :lol:
