Have spent most of my daylight hours at t'allotment over the past few months. Have had to catch up on paid work in the evenings rather than come here :(
Wish I'd planted earlier. Was about 4-6 weeks late.
Main job has been greenhouse rebuild. It's now a beauty! I could put some piccies up on my tumblr blog and put in a link here?
Have picked clean the black/redcurrants and frozen for now. Hoping to get them made into jams before blackberries a ready en masse!
Got tons of lovely garlic - think I must've planted them last year.
Peas, beans, cabbages, carrots, onions, corn all looking good.
Pulled up the first of many spuds!
Apple tree planted this year is laden :)
Toms, peppers and chillis all a bit late but cross fingers for a later summer.

The above-mentioned work has been a bit of a career change BTW. Back in April I unexpectedly got offered a record deal on the strength of an ancient demo...so since then I've formed a band, taught myself keyboards, took singing lessons, wrote, rehearsed and recorded a single!
No wonder I haven't been around much! I'm back now, taking the summer off....except for harvest and preserving!

Hobo, all sorts of great news! Congratulations on the deal! And I'm glad to hear someone else has frozen their blackcurrants to deal with later - I was feeling a bit rubbishy for doing that - but I want to deal with them all in one go.

Veg plot as such is still a-building, I'm very slow at this stuff, but it will happen eventually.
