Most articles I've read suggest 6 months for storage of "out of the tap" water, if kept in a cool, dark place. The cheap value stuff from Asda (17 p for 2 litres) is (AFAIK) essentially bottled tap water and generally has a 3 month "best before end of". I buy several at a time, primarily for the use of the bottle size which stack reasonable well in a tea-chest.jono.mathew wrote: Hello mate, we have an outdoor garage with a fair amount of room. There are two rooms spare for storage in the house. I have allocated under the stairs for tinned food storage. If I bottle tap water, how long will that last on average?
Water

Some of the ebay suppliers seem a bit vague on the container's provenance.
So I might go with one of the "specialist" suppliers over Bristol/Wales direction, but they are not the cheapest.
Can't decide whether to go black or clear - black because it is a bit easier, but at least you can see if properly clean if clear?.
May also have to consider storing one in the garage, to reduce the likelyhood of freezing solid.
Decisions, decisions.

Same here, distance is a factor too. When I get mine, I'm having clear ones and adding the black wrapping as in the videos.TonyAge wrote:They don't seem to be available locally, as I would have preferred to collect.TonyAge wrote:An excellent series of videos. Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.
