I have 2 LED lenser torches. Before i would only buy Maglite but they are awful when compared to LED lenser.

I was exactly the same! Always Maglites.... they seem poor by comparison nowadays!

Zebra too much? If you want tiny, good output and cheap then the Thrunite Ti is your fella.
Single AAA battery, 60 lumens max with an excellent firefly setting, nicely engineered and less than a tenner off evilbay.

I second that one.
Interesting you are downsizing your EDC. I am doing the same.

So, maybe I should just stick with my existing LED Lenser torch! :D

I know this is an old post but I am new to the forum and i'm trying to read through all the different posts on as many subjects as I can. What do people think about head torches? My own personal opinion is thet are better than small hand held torches for a number of reasons:
1.Being a head torch they can be used hands free.
2.Having a head band attached means you can hang them up from branches etc which means they become useful as work lights.
3.Good quality headlamps from a company such as princeton tech are more powerful than small torches.
4.The strap can be removed and the headlamp will fit into a pocket due to their relatively small size.

The princeton tech headlamp I own is also waterproof down to about 3 meters so no need to worry about it failing due to water ingress. It also has a battery save feature that switches the the light down to a lower setting as the batteries get weaker, three power modes and a flashing mode that could be useful as an emergency beacon. All in all,in my opinion, far more useful than a normal small torch.
