Just a quick update thingy: I have put too much strain on my back through "jump rope" so I am back to walking and a kind of self imposed step aerobics based on walking up and down the first three steps on my staircase for about 300 steps when I get around to it. It does work up a sweat of sorts and you definitely feel it in a cardio sense, but make sure your foot wear is good. . . .
