I'm toying with the idea of a dehydrator but I am not clued up on what it can do. Forgive me for asking what may appear to be daft questions, but let's say I dehydrated some banana which I chopped into slices and dehydrated, does it rehydrate when I eat it, by the moisture in my mouth? If I had meat, let's say venison for example, and I diced that into cubes and then dehydrated, I'm assuming this would be fine for adding to soups.

Any advice on what dehydrator to purchase would be most welcome.
I recently experienced Plymouth City centre so that's why I prep.

I personally eat dehydrated fruit as it is. Banana is a little chewy, pineapple is too, actually most is as it just doesn't have the moisture.

Meat wise you might want to make jerky.

Veg I just add to soup or stews, something with plenty of liquid.

In an earlier post on this thread I posted a link to the dehydrator I have.

I think we need a thread on What are you dehydrating so we can post info about the process and add photos.

Mrs Briggs is also keen to start dehydrating certain foods so I expect we'll be investing in a unit soon. It's a case of trial and error I suppose, to see what food works and what doesn't. I think bananas and potatoes will be my first attempt, along with some diced meat.

I'll check out the unit you suggest and run it by Mrs Briggs.
