Nope, just your first 10 posts need to be approved by a Moderator first.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

We are an over crowed island so if you bug out to what ever location so will about a million other people who will think that your location is a good idea, you will also have to get round road blocks and abanded cars on the road if it is hard to get round them in a car how hard will it be with a car and caravan, also don't forget the locals who will not welcome you taking there rescores. So if you are going to bug out you need a location that you go to every weekend even in four foot of snow, you need to become part of that community so that even if they do not see you as a local they will not see you as a threat but someone who understands them.
AREA's 5-6 and 4

you could armour up the van inside and live in that or ditch the caravan and get another transit as a weekend get away camper .

It is worth suggesting that on a public forum the best way to describe your weapon use is for hunting and self sufficiency.

Pre-meditated "self defence" is illegal.

tinytim wrote:Hello people ,
I,m new here so please bare with me.
I am well aware of the geopolitical crises and economic turmoil that we are in just now, and have been studying/researching this for 15+ years , but have only just started considering prepping as a serious subject .
My situation is i live in a densely populated area, and my property has a huge void ( almost like a cellar) underneath it which is superb for storage of provisions.
I also have a large transit van and a twin axle caravan at my home which is always ready for "the off ".

As i mentioned above the state the world is in , i personally feel that there is to be a huge social collapse that i fell will be bought on by the poor state of the economy which as you know is global,, but also unprecidented.

I still cant make up my mind (should TSHTF) whether i should have my caravan situated somewhere very rural prior to collapse , bug in , or bug out taking the caravan along with my supplies .
The void underneath my home is just big enough to hide in with supplies on a temporary basis , but i fear it may just end up as a grave when the looters come calling .

I should point out , that i have a wife and two young children ,, Any thoughts and opinions on this are greatly appreciated . :D

Your situation is similar to mine (minus 15 yrs looking into this)

I AM BUGGING out
there is no hope in hell i would even consider staying
people who are not prepared for something panic that is well known so i would run
my goal is high ground with woodland and streams/water altough in East anglia High ground is very lacking lol

firstly, I'd look at where you are living-I mean the area rather than the house, how feasible is it to bug out of there when everyone else is trying to do the same? look at the routes you would use, are there any alternatives if they became blocked say by broken down vehicles? I don't think bugging out with a caravan is doable....the size cuts down the number of roads you can use, you want to get out FAST and clean. I think in your situation and with family I would hunker down and bug in.
Adapt or Die, there is no middle ground.
