I have always thought of myself as "different" not part of the common herd.

So have I
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

Indeed we are different.

We (preppers and all free thinkers) do not accept the 'matrix' as expounded by the media and Government. Neither of these bodies tell it as it, is nor are they interested in the lives of individual 'sheeple' other than as 'production units' for their Global ambitions.

Keep the population scared and they will demand to give away their privacy in return for 'protective surveillance'. Keep a war or two going to keep us all distracted. Afghanistan, what was the point? If the Ruskies couldn't do it how could we? It will be in the hands of the Taliban within a year after final withdrawal, then what next?

Look between the lines to see what it is all really about. It is what they don't say that is interesting. Recent advances in nano tech have been reported, (but not on the TV). They have successfully put a chip in someone's head to change behaviour, supposedly to stop depression, yeah right. MIT experimenters believe they can now 'turn off' free will. These are the key stories you don't see on mainstream media.

Interesting patchman , do you have a credible source and link to that chip story?
In response to the original theme , then yes I've generally thought differently from many but can become part of the herd as it were as and when the need arises. Better to appear to just have a few quirks rather than to be outside the mainstream , blending in can be advantageous at times.
If everyone thought like those on this forum would that make us the herd? :D

There are many sources relating to chip implants on the net used for behaviour control or as a step towards a cashless society. Chips (not implanted...yet) are being used in some schools as a way of monitoring activity and access to certain resources. If such tech is introduced early in life, at school, people will become used to such controls in later life. Search engines can finds loads on it. Also, what amounts to mind reading is being developed - eg neuroscientists in California are working on reading brain responses and converting them into images, look for this under University of California, Berkeley. A starting point for the chip implant could be-
