Pay day yesterday, so I'm still in the middle of spending, but so far bought
1 small fire extinguisher
5 9 led torches
Paracetamol (only 2 packets as thats all we are allowed to buy at a time in case we think enough is enough but I quite often pick some up when in the local Lidl at 19p per pack it's criminal not too.)
2 Keyring pill cases, I'm gonna make the Mrs one up with things she won't moan about (cash, hair bobbles, paracetamol etc Hair bobbles I hear you say thats cos I'm working to a plan if it's got stuff she's liable to use soon or in everyday circumstances I figure she'll eventually start to warm to prepping :) I know damn well that the cash will go in the first month when she wants something from the sarnie van or a Mcripoffs coffee. Isn't it lucky she had that emergency stash. Slow steps I'll get there eventually.

Ordered 4 x Ring Cyba-Lite headlights - one for each of our Go Bags http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000 ... ge_o00_s00

Loads of good reviews, lots of lights, long battery life, decent price.

For the first time,(rather stupidly,) i actually made a stock list for all the food ive been buying. Its very easy to get carried away, especially when your just doing your shopping down town and start putting things randomly in your basket but to be honest, think ive done pretty well with all the stuff ive got now.Like alot of people,i have to stick to a budget and try not to go OTT,all the basic food groups are there and i reckon im now about comfortable with the stock ive got to last me and my family for about 3 months or more. The only thing i have concerns about is water supply,i mean, bottled water can really mount up and i dont want it to start taking up all my storage space.Ive bought purification tablets and am swaying to the idea of getting a few big water containers for the garden.

I want to bulk up my medical supplies so I found a few bargains on Amazon yesterday: 12x pk Anti-virus face masks, 12pk conforming bandages, box vinyl gloves, safety pins, first aid scissors, 20x pk sterile wound dressings and 3x eye pad bandages. I'll be looking to increase numbers of a few things later on. Also bought a couple boxes of Duracell Procell AA and AAA batteries - they're not the best but are OK for what I need them for.

Been to Aldi & Morrisons today and bought some more 1l sterilised milk, 8 litres bottled water, granola bars, hand sanitizer, 2x 100ml Colgate (on offer £1 a tube) and 2x sealing soap holders.

Been decorating our bedroom so we have had to put things in our prep cupboard which would usually be dedicated to our large bedroom inbuilt cupboard.
So, not so much me but Mrs Wulfshead took advantage of this chaos and bought a load of large plastic boxes and lids to get our food and hygiene preps in a better food specific and rotation system.
Our son just handed over a full box worth of food preps to add into the collective so we now need to buy another box or two.

Got my s**t together this weekend.
Replaced the broken grill on the oven (and we all had cheese on toast for the first time in 3 months!)
Sanded and painted the cracking paint at the front of the house.
Moved propane canisters to a safer location (a heavy duty lock up metal box at the allotment)
Bagged an indoor propane heater for said canisters.
Began sawing up and bagging loads of kindling (still plenty to go at)
Sorted out first aid and meds.
Ordered headlights for go bags.
AND PUT UP THE CHRISTMAS TREE!

Ordered 2 more 25L food grade water containers from water containers4less.co.uk... They are dirt cheap. Replaced the tins of veg and beans that that Mrs used up and bought some more tinned meat (spam & corned beef)
