Found damp in the back corner of the camper .... hiding behind the draw unit seems fairly extensive so starting to get the kit / timber together to fix it the plywood is fubar think it'll fall to bits when I remove the wall paper
I am sure you are more than capable of fixing that mate! ;)
Bit worse than I thought but the furniture is stripped out and worst of the rot is chopped out ... Cut it square tomorrow treat any soft bits then begin the rebuild process...

Was chatting to a local farmer last night - he has a fallen sycamore and alder tree he needs cleared. Leapt on the opportunity, that's this weekends job for me & my son. The sycamores good, the alder less so but free wood's free wood :D

New batteries in the downstairs motion light. Almost used up the non-renewables. Not ordered any more batteries though, I have about 44 AAAs. All are rechargeable apart from 6 which are in two other lights. Was stupid buying non-rechargeables. I got them for my BOB as they are lighter, but eventually you have to use them and chuck them. They lasted several months in those lights anyway. I keep a spreadsheet of where they are, when bought, when to recharge or chuck. NiMHs should be charged once a year if the aren't being used.

Took my Li batteries out of the emergency radio, and put them in the Lipo bag in the metal box on the tiled floor. I'm still keeping the one in my torch though. I use it quite a lot, partly because my eyesight is so bad.

Did a few pullups (assisted by two resistance bands). I find best to put my knee through 2 band rather than foot through one, which is difficult to do.

Got to test my RCD in the cellar soon. You should test them every 6 months. Mine went about a year ago, and it took about 2 weeks to diagnose it. 4 electrician callouts. In hindsight, you'd think it'd be the first thing they tried. Anyway,, they just replaced the switch. That was all covered on 24/7 Home Rescue, £45 total.

We were called to go collect his chemo and a lot of other tabs he has to take while he's on it ..twice for all of it every 12 hours
Gave us one months supply brought it home labelled everything and how much to take and at what times
Made sure that people know he can't be around anyone who has recently had a live vaccine coughs colds etc
Stocked up on ensure in case appetite goes / side effects
All starts tomorrow

Pharmacist said a lot of people are now having some form of chemo at home some on virtual wards some like my other half just us to deal with it

Its not a great prep but for anyone who sadly has to go through this at some point in their life ill try to keep you all updated on how we find all this.... have to make own blood test appointments also ..all at various hospitals for different things ..so life is going to change now

Its a massive thing ill be very nervous if any side effects happen hoping I can sort it fast ..the responsibility seems immense
But its what we are
Preppers

So onward and forward and all that ...
Geegee, you posted this a day ago, more or less exactly, how's it going? I would be *so* nervous in your shoes, you're coping amazingly well. As you say, it's an immense responsibility. I remember maybe 20 years ago when it was a new thing to go in to an outpatients centre to get chemo, and now it's happening at people's homes :(

You're a star.

It was really hard this morning
The chemo had to be done for 9 am alongside two lots of anti biotic tablets
We both stood there looking at it all knowing what he was putting in his system ..
Lunch time another two lots of tablets blood acid and another anti biotic
And we are waiting for 9 pm so the next lot of chemo and two lots of anti biotics will be taken
I havent been anywhere today kept a close eye on him walked to the bakery with him and back as we have no idea what to expect ..
Rang the hospital and they block booked blood tests for a month one a week they keep some back for the chemo patients they said the ones who are doing it st home
We dont see a nurse or doctor or anyone he got a app to go to clinic middle August so I suppose thats it now
They have given me phone numbers for chemo helpline if anything goes wrong or ring 999 if its heart attack or stroke
I've nearly had one all day !
This is definitely one of the most difficult things I've had to prep for

I can only wish you the best of luck GeeGee. I am back on home chemo from tomorrow too,and I understand hubby feeling rough. I’ll message you tomorrow . Again, take care and good luck to you both - and don’t forget to rest - you are his important carer .

Jansman your home chemo will consist of ..home chemo ..then chopping wood sorting your tool sheds fixing the roof and everything else :)
Good luck ...and dont YOU forget to rest !
More preps for me though ..get chainsaw out and chop the wood i have we've probably got 5 to 6 weeks before the chill comes back ..and some evenings lately the wood burner has been on
Reading meters today as bills due
Getting the triple extension ladders out and will be wobbling around by the guttering making sure its clear
Hedges and conifers need sorting again and I'm digging a trench along the front garden as lately the water is coming up to the front step with heavy rain ..laying a pipe to drain away in opposite direction towards drain
And look after Mr GG .

I understand about the chill GeeGee. I am tending to feel it,and your estimate of when it kicks off *proper* is about my thought too. As for graft- I’ll keep doing what I can.

You just make sure YOU are careful, please. Take care.
