Can stay there please. ..this chop has caused some trouble!
I do like a warm shower though ill swim in cold water ... although the camping shower I have isn't too bad when I have had to use it ...warm the water stick it in and a half decent shower
Theyre all now organising help for those who have no electric heaters etc ...
Checking on elderly

Not a good situation to be in for anyone in that area to be in this is why I prep not for end of the world but day to day crap, inconvenience and dramas that cause agro

Sat here thinking we've still not got the heating on ... its not that cold yet  Put a jumper on

I've a quilted body warmer and quilted shirt if it gets chilly

I've those little 700w plug in heaters for each bedroom a 2kw fan heater and a 2kw convection heater for downstairs as a instantly deployable option if we loose gas / boiler goes on the blink ..

Before falling back onto the more preppy toys ... diesel heater, calor gas heater, bio ethanol heater...

Short term leccy kettle for hot water and bigger /longer outage the lpg water geezer with shower head accessory that will scare the neighbours me scrubbing my backside in the garden :P

And if anyone says hose pipe ban it'll run from a bucket with its own 12v pump

And this is just accidental damage which could happen anywhere at anytime through carelessness.

Not sabotage, not a drone or missile attack, not a cyber attack, by the Russians or any other enemy.

So when it does hit the fan, country wide, we know the panic to expect from the general population.

The authorities, government, local councils, emergency services, utility companies, are not prepared
even for local emergencies, a water main hit by a digger (Wednesbury, West Midlands) caused local
flooding and took weeks to fix.

Well this is what we prep for, and preps for small or short term incidents help cover big ones.

Our basic needs are always the same, security, shelter, water, food, heating, cooking, lighting, medication.

It'll be on the pipe into the gas meter the other end of the Anaconder ( shiney ribbed hose that goes onto the gas meter regulator)

Thanks Y A
Learned a lot tonight about what hapoens if gas goes out
The house to house individually sounds so bad what a job it's going to be ...as Peter said this is someone chopping through a mains and taking out thousands of properties by accident. ..
Can you imagine a deliberate act and how the public would respond .
