Just received bulk military rations of

Cheese Oat Biscuits

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/187667774632

and

Cheddar Cheese Flavour Spread

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/187540696057

from the same seller.

Funnily enough the cheese biccies are made by Nairns
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Prep room is now getting a bit of heat from 4am 'til the C/H comes on. Cold spot warmed up 1° during this period, as did the room as a whole. Reason is to keep relative humidity from reaching mould risk. Heat is from Dimplex controlled by Tapo, and it used 0.33kWh, ie about 9p worth. I also have a fan on low, pointing upwards towards the main radiator, to circulate the air a bit more. RH was 60 in cold spot. This is the upper limit of safe zone. So in colder weather, I need to set the scheduled start on the Tapo for 3am, or even 2am. Having said that, advice is to increase C/H thermostat temperature during the night to 17 or even 17.5 in cold weather, so running the Dimplex earlier would then only be needed on rare extremely cold days (-4°minimum or colder).

True dat!

Even Nairn's oatcakes from supermarkets and health food stores are pretty much okay, but I was in seventh heaven one weekend about ten years ago - stayed in a small hotel east of Edinburgh, right on the Firth of Forth, and part of what they served for breakfast was home made oatcakes. Plus a marmalade so thick it could stand up on its own.

I told them they should put both items in for an award, truly, they were gorgeous.

Prepper shop was selling 50 of each in a deal on their website the other day. I'm not a fan of either so I didn't buy.

The books? They're about 30+ years old and are just informative. What's dodgy about it?

It’s likely to get the forum shut down and you on a watchlist if you’re not on one already!

To misquote Billy Connolly, there is only book everyone needs.

‘How to make a ton of money and get laid before you die’.

I would buy it.

The other ones? Perhaps not.
