Meanwhile I was pretty much thrown out of both classes for being a "know it all" because my step-mum had decided I was going to do it her way or the highway and it was easier to disagree with the teacher than with her when products of lessons came home.
As long as you can stand the Texan accent the "Melly Sews" blog has a lot of useful info for new (& more experienced) sewers as well as some free patterns.
