yep, apparently it is! They run ghost hunting evenings etc. Another reason why people might stay away.

The question I asked was what peoples plans were if they intended to Bug Out.....it wasn't asked so we could slag each others plans off. Everybody here has different opinions on the threats we face and so plan accordingly.

For just a tiny split second I thought we could have a proper rational debate about the merits of the different options like proper grown ups....

You started a discussion about peoples plans in bugging and my opinion is that going to travel lodge is ridiculous and you are coming back at my accusing me of "slagging off"

If slagging off is disagreeing with someone else so be it but it isnt is it so.....

As for a "rational debate" its a pretty weak one if you not "allowed" to air your views with being accused of slagging people off.

A discussion is a discussion. We are not here just for back slaps and well dones.

Are maybe we are?

Bugging out is my last result, but if I had to leave I'd just squat one of the many industrial buildings that have been empty for 8 months to 2 years, which there are quite a few, there are also a lot of boarded up houses which have been so for over 6 months.

Industrial Estates are on my agenda as well, lots of useful kit lying around and most buildings have half decent security systems and shutters etc, in fact where I work is on my agenda

Security is only any good if there is someone to enforce it, if no one around it can soon be overcome in a lot of cases.

I would tend to look at small unit set ups, a bit more variety on those for kit, but as a Bug out/ Bug in location, nope, a small place in the country would be a nice place to move to once it has all calmed down following a full on population altering event, until then though a nice Motel will do for anything likely to come along before that
