Got given a PAT tester today it's out of calibration but still gives accurate enough readings for what I need (it's like new) can test any kit I fix at home to make sure it's as safe as it can be it'll check earth / insulation etc which will come in handy and let me test extension cables / toaster and everything else with a plug on
If your roughing it, Your doing it wrong ;)

Sorted my perennial Egyptian Onions. The original bed is now well established, and the top bulblets I have planted into another bed now. Given that my ground holds White Rot that affects ‘normal’ onions, these Egyptian jobs are superb, and grow in various ways, year round. https://www.egyptianwalkingonion.com/

I have a car full of firewood to deal with this morning, which won’t take long. Whatever happens now with heating ,we’ll be warm for three years! :D

I am only working part time at the moment,so there’s plenty of time to get prepping done that’s not been done, whilst I was unwell. The sun is bright,so I shall plug batteries into the solar panels this morning too.
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.

Decanted all batteries/lighting/tea lights into one storage box so I know where to get at it all quickly. It was dotted all round the place which was making me a bit twitchy.

Yes, we use them as onions. We tend to use the green leaves mostly. As the stock increases, there will be bulbs in the ground. We have a Welsh onion too , which is like a large, thick spring onion. No work needed when established.

Wow ok i think i will try them next year , do they take a time to establish like Rhubarb you must not take to much in the first couple of years and asparagus that type , i do have a huge amount of wild garlic in the garden and chives huge clumps we love herbs to flavour a meal i try not to use salt as wife hates it and i try not to use it much now days
