Can i ask do you find these as good as using onions i have been tempted to try but never have m i wonder what you think of them
thanks
Yes, we use them as onions. We tend to use the green leaves mostly. As the stock increases, there will be bulbs in the ground. We have a Welsh onion too , which is like a large, thick spring onion. No work needed when established.
Wow ok i think i will try them next year , do they take a time to establish like Rhubarb you must not take to much in the first couple of years and asparagus that type , i do have a huge amount of wild garlic in the garden and chives huge clumps we love herbs to flavour a meal i try not to use salt as wife hates it and i try not to use it much now days
I planted the bulblets last Winter. They established over Spring and usable lightly. Just clipped a few leaves. Autumn here now and they are re sprouting very well, as well as bulblets that planted themselves too.

Just go for Egyptian onion. As I am aware it’s all the same? I sprouted mine in the tunnel over Winter too.

Another mini trangia set and a threaded gas stove to go with it.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Is that a special gas burner? I have a full size Trangia with gas, and a Mini. But I never tried fitting the gas to the Mini.

No just a generic stove. The mini doesn't come with a shield set up like the 25 or 27.

I just place it on the stove like any other pot/ frying pan.

I've been feeling a little overwhelmed of late with news and somewhat shite health (still bloody coughing and have pulled a muscle in my back as a result  ), so I'm making the effort to get things done that I can, and not think too much about what I cannot control. So this evening a few of those cheapo push LED lights have gone up around the house (one turned out to be a dud :() and I checked my radios can get Radio 2 and Radio 4 on FM as per that article about the BBC preparing scripts in case of blackouts: https://www.theguardian.com/media/2022/ ... -blackouts. I use DAB radio so I did have to check, and I found that reception is a bit pants round here so out of 3 radios, one just had static on FM, one got radio 4 and one got both.

Two Anker 10000mAh Powerbanks and cables.

These to pair with my USB lightbulbs.

Charging up now (20w total) using my Jackery.
