Re: Get Home Bag
Right. Do you need a bag if you are going to bury it anyway?preppingsu wrote:Bury it! (along with Lils dead bodies )
You could also burn any waste/garbage which would be my first preference, if possible, TBH.
Re: Get Home Bag
Sorry Spog, I missed your post earlier. Some good points. I hadn't seen those survival jackets but they could replace the foil blankets. The plastic Ponchos I have are similar in package size to them (got them from the pound shop) but probably not as good thermally. Anyone know how robust they are ? Some wipes would be good as well.spog wrote:wow looks good i havent got anything like that (yet) but its on my list of things to do.
alcohol has alot of uses so does vinegar in the sachets, salt, antibacterial wipes, more matches, a hat or two of any kind, and defanetly two of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Foil-Survival-Jac ... 230e42e5a0
not got one yet but its on my list,

Possibly worth sticking a few in just in case you dont want (or cant) burn/bury it at the time ? I'm not sure myself, but as the "nappy bags" weigh next to nothing it may be worth sticking a few in.itsybitsy wrote:Right. You can use small bags as temporary gloves in a pinch to avoid handling ikky stuff.

Trying not to lower the tone to much but that is how I use the bags to pick up the dog poo.....not a particularly pleasant task but you do get used to it after a whilesouthernPrepper wrote:You can use small bags as temporary gloves in a pinch to avoid handling ikky stuff.
Re: Get Home Bag
Just been in my local 'Everything 99p' store and they have a selection of camping/survivial stuff. Picked up a pack of 2 foil blankets, pack of 2 glowsticks (claims lasts for 8hrs) and and emergency shelter (suitable for 2 people, has ropes). I will be going back. Also had metal mess tins, and enamel plates etc. All suitable for a BOB or in the car. (prephaps I will copy this into equipment)Carrot Cruncher wrote:Sorry Spog, I missed your post earlier. Re: Get Home Bag
Preppingsu - I've got similar stuff in my local 99p/pound store. There's a range called 'Outdoor Solutions' which do lots of camping kit, including blankets, mess tins etc. Very handy. I guess that's what you've been looking at...?
I'll pop in and have a look for the glowsticks - I need a few more.
