Do you know something we don't? Care to share it?... :D

Good topic though - I'll be following this one. I've sometimes seen ROC bunkers going on Ebay, but too expensive really. I think the last one went for 20-30k...

The farmers who owned the land they had the ROC posts on were paid £900 to safe the MOD from backfilling them.

Thanks gnole! A lot of these links will come in handy for sure!

As for the 2012 floods...I have a friend who is a bit of a 2012 apocsyclypse expert, and he says there'll be thousand foot high tidal waves...now I don't buy into the 2012 stuff, but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna prepare for it! Expect the worst, be pleasantly surprised when it doesn't happen.

As a Bug out would this web site be useful

if not for long term at least for a hidden place to meet and go from there.

I have been in a few of those bunkers and have a friend who was a ROC operative in one of them, I certainly wouldn't want to use them for anything more than a few hours.

And of course they are known to many hundreds of people who probably have their eye on them as well.

Mind you it would be easy enough to get stuck in one, a few concrete blocks on the hatch would be hard to shift from the inside.

What, like just appear out of nowhere? If so it doesnt' bode well for me. We can't even get the flood barrier down in less than an hour!

I think you will get more than an hours notice
I think that they are referring to the partial collapse of Tenerife into the sea which would create a massive wave that will sweep across the ocean and then back again
taking out most of east coast USA

Well, having spent two godawful weeks there many moons ago, I don't think it would be a great loss to the world...
