Not hugely worried about anything - probably a 2!
I'm concerned a bit about civil unrest, price hikes, terrorism and fuel shortages in the UK - but that's why I prep. I tend to hope for the best, and prepare for the worst, so I feel ok really...
worried yes or no ?
Re: worried yes or no ?
My concern is the global financial implications which won't really start to be felt for a few weeks. But there's not much I can do about that and time spent worrying is generating negative energy that could be used for something more constructive. One thing I will be doing (that I don't normally) is taking a good chunk of my salary out of the bank when I've been paid and emptying my paypal account. The bank of 'Under the Mattress' is officially open for business!
So, on a scale of 1-5 of concern rather than worry - probably a 3.5 right now.

Re: worried yes or no ?
I guess the opinions appear to be around the same mark, the average of our "alert" or "worried" status seems to be around 3 to 4
I asked the question in the first place as i wanted to answer the question weather or not we should be much more "aware" of the growing unrest of the man made and natural desasters around the globe at present.
My thoughts were, if we at UKP are raising our alert levels, some of us are, some seem not that concerned (at present), then we know things are starting to get..shall we say interesting !

Re: worried yes or no ?
Anybody that thinks building new nuclear power stations is a 'joke', has only to look at the 'energy security' situation in the UK.
Currently we face the very real prospect of a serious 'energy gap' in the UK with the very 'real' posibility of rolling blackouts and energy being not availiable.
Sadly the natural gas infastructure in the UK is totaly dependant on 'electricity' to pump gas through the UK network. So come the day when the 'lights go out', there are going to be some very cold frightened people, making 'jokes' about nuclear energy.
The new program of building nuclear power stations, is 'the' most important program for our 'energy independance'.
We cannot be reliant on gas imported from thousands of miles away, & oil imported from the middle east.
Energy is not a 'joke !!

To follow up your comments, I don't think anybody on here thinks that energy, nuclear or otherwise, is a 'joke', I'm a little unsure as to where that's come from TBH. Or was it just a general observation of people in general?
Re: worried yes or no ?
You beat me to it Itsy....im so slow today
Charlie, Itsy is correct we have many serious discusions on the subject at UKP have a look through some of our posts and you will see we are all concerned !
Energy ah yes what a subject for debate over the coming months/years...nuclear, coal, gas, oil...the end result is always going to be the same for mankind...it WILL run out eventualy and as ive said many times before nuclear fision is only a bridge at best, it is not the answer for mankinds long term survival, it just kicks the can down the road a bit

I was one of the few people that predicted and prepared for the global crash. Also have been watching and waiting for the middle east to spark for a couple of years.
Didn't see the Japan crisis coming for obvious reasons and that really highlights the real problem.
You can usually see and prepare for economic and political problems if you know the signs and listen to your gut. But the really big things coming out of the blue.
So always be mentally prepared for anything, even if your resources are not ready.
So for me its a 6.
Thats 5 for the actual danger which most have greatly underestimated and an extra 1 just in case
