Its quite the opposite here, I live in the middle of an old apple orchard and there are 4 Bramley Trees just yards from my house

Going very slightly off topic but I finally got round to picking some Roman berries. Not of my own trees as I don't have any but from a customers grounds. The trees always seem to have a lot although maybe just a few less this year but still pretty abundant . I picked about a carrier bag full and we made some jelly mixing with the crab apples from my own tree. I must say I wish I'd made some years ago very nice with pork or cold meat and cheese.

In an earlier post on this thread I said my plum tree hadn't done very well. Scratch that, I think it's just a bit late as I checked it last week and it now has a nice crop of plums coming along - I'm hoping to harvest somethis weekend if they're ready :)
