Our farm shop / wholesaler grocery prices have increased a lot.
The price of British onions has almost doubled. (Was £1.89 a bag now £3.59 for the same sized bag) and these were grown here in this part of East Anglia. It is also noticeable that the individual onions are much smaller in size as well, due to the drought last summer we were told and they said their water reservoir was 1/3 lower than usual.
The cost of the products they have to buy such as chemicals and fertilizers, has increased dramatically this year she said, so watch out for further price hikes.
Anyone noticed other rises?
