I seem to get the feeling that there's a general consensus of "GET TO SCOTLAND!" on this forum lately. I also plan to go north, although I've got the valleys nearby, I could probably lose myself in there...or maybe a bit further north. Wales is a very empty nation...

I've thought of Wales; plenty of hills and valleys, woodlands, water sources etc. I had found an isolated cottage for sale in the Breacon Beacons. Needed renovation but already had a compost toilet installed. Just avaliable at the wrong time. But who knows might be still avaliable in a few months unless another prepper snaps it up!

Sorry for the late reply, I've had a lot on. Many thanks for the warm welcomes. Also, Janso - I've got a lot of love for Cornwall. My fondest childhood memories are of yearly camping holidays down there with the whole family. Such a beautiful part of the country.
