So we've cleared that up then, it's ok for you to use what force is necessary but not the police

i think we are getting away from the plot here, its not so much about what force was used(in the riots), personally i couldn't care less if some rioter is getting his head kicked in, but its more about the fact the Police had not only lost control on the streets but appeared to be doing nothing when life and property were threatened by a bunch of out of control criminals/looters and street scum.
