I agree with you twodo. I was just pointing out that in a way bulldogeagle and preppermark were both right. There is enough food grown to feed everyone like preppermark said, but as bulldogeagle was saying there is not enough food to go around at the present time let alone in the future due to logistics, local climate, economics, and any number of other reasons.

The amount of food grown in the figures also does not take into account that a sizable percentage of that is used to feed animals which we then turn into food, and unfortunately that process isnt an efficient use of the original calories

Is there something wrong with me? I've never, ever, no way hozay wanted to be a dad or a "family man", that's one reason I never married! Kids are noisy, smelly and pains-in-the-derriere..:)

No not really Jim, in fact if more people felt that way then over population would not be an issue, we as a species are over doing it on the procreation front and have been for a long time, whilst I am not going to talk someone out of the natural instinct many if not most possess, those of us who feel no need yet still live what they feel is a worthwhile life, shouldn't be made to feel "faulty" about it, in fact it could be considered as a responsible attitude if spun the right way ;)
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

I've got a niece in Tamerton Foliot and another one in Plympton and never get a phone call or e-mail from them for months on end unless they're asking for money..;)
And I send a cheque to them for their birthdays and christmas but rarely get a "thank you", I think they must be on another planet..;)
