cheeky!!! too much, originally we were talking about £60K, I'm not really into boats, nearly drowned once- I don't think we could get much house wise for £60K probably some grotty flat with no garden and no parking.

I agree, have a couple of acquaintances who opted for canal longboats, easy to keep warm and fun to maintain. Quite a big community around them too.

canals are ok for now but in a post SHTF situation you can be attacked from both banks .
