To get back to the original topic, i remember a film i saw a long time ago, i think it was called 'no blade of grass' the synopsis goes something like this; all plant life is dying off in the UK (can't remember if it was world wide) so food is getting short, all the big gangs are moving out of the city etc, Michael Cain's character has a brother in the highlands who has a safe place or something, so he takes off up there collecting farmers with guns etc, that journey and the battles is the film story, as i say, a long time ago. Seeing that made me want to not be in that position if possible, so later on in life, prepper i became, other things have inspired me, the tv documentary about preppers too and being interested in bushcraft etc.

Trust me, the book is better. I believe that John Christopher, the author, washed his hands of the film inside ten minutes.
As I say, read the book, it is gripping.
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.
