The nuke issue is an interesting one, up to the test ban treaty 2053 nukes have been set off, the only ones used in combat were droped by america. America used 4,000 robots/uav in the iraq war and now trains more uav pilots than normal ones, they have used them to do attacks in countries they are not at war with.
The bigest threat to peace is a country that can go to war with few consequences ie america.
It is no wonder everyone wants a nuke i dont blame them, so long as they are not used.
As far as self defence goes criminals have more capability than victims, we can not use cs spray, tazar, own an asp baton, or firearm for deffence. yet a criminal can go into the pub and buy a hand gun.
As they say prevention is better than a cure so its down to situation awareness and taking basic safety steps to stay as safe as possible.
For example how we dress, where we go, even leaving enough room between cars when we stop so that we can pull away if needed. and oh yes an m4 with 30rd mag
if anyone would like to try shooting i would recomend the open day at bisley, the nra hold 2 per year (may/sep) it is only on pre arranged home office approved days that a non probationary member can shoot without a licence (rifle/pistol).
