I've been eyeing those up.... How roomy is the cut? I ask because although I only( ) have a 48 inch chest I have to buy 52 inch jackets due to my gorilla like frame

I have a 36 inch chest and bought the medium which is quite roomy and comfortable. But then like all products of this era I suspect there is a lot of variation between each jacket.

Unfortunately they're only stocking the M39 in small and medium at the moment, but they do have the M59 for £10 in large although it is a wool mix and not 100% wool.

Just bought another suit the other day due to shrinking from a 52" to a 50" and I've been described as a 'silverback' in the past. My missus has longer legs than me and I'm 6'. Basically, a bit of a freak. I hate to think what will happen when I 'let myself go'...... I was a pretty decent prop though. :D

The rugby catches up with you though, especially the front row. I spoke to a train conductor a few months back who was propping up until 44. I wrapped my hand in at about 37/38 and it was taking me a week to recover then. Funnily enough, I couldn't give a toss about the rugby now, its all football.

I stopped when I left school, nothing around except football.... And Gridiron.

Still got corrugated shins though..... And I've found that morris dancing will destroy your knees nearly as good as rugby ever could though.

On a prepping related note, bought some canvas sewing tools and am making up some bags..... Quite Meditative

Going with the 'on topic', I got a couple of new Mora's today so looking forward to putting them to use. Should have dehydrated a load of old leeks but was feeling lazy, manana (well today now I guess).

Do you guys think I should take off the Swedish Army insignias on the jacket or do you think I should keep them on? They do attract a lot of attention but they also give it a lot of character too.

Check whether Sweden have been involved in any "armed interventions" in the last 100 years...if they have then you may bump into someone with a beef.

Like wearing a PARA T shirt in areas where there are people (or their relations/nationality) who have been "upset" by airborne forces. Just about everywhere, then
