Hope it all goes well.
Hi modernwisewoman. Thank you for your well wishes :) No, my qualification only allows me to teach adults in the UK. If I were to go abroad, it would be recognised in language schools where there are often teenagers. However, I do know someone from my course worked at a UK summer school for Italian kids. If I wanted to teach children in a UK state school (or private school for that matter) I would have to do a PGCE.

I have considered private tuition. It's a big step though. It's scary enough considering tutoring an adult, let alone a GCSE student! I would need a heck of a lot of preparation time, get hold of the current curriculum, find out what the current targets are, even before putting myself out there. It's a massive undertaking.

have u ever thought of contacting home educating families - they may hire for a bit of expertise esp with the older kids, i know a few who hire tutors for their kids instead of formal schooling

Catching up with my paper shredding. My cheap paper shredder gets blocked up like crazy though, but it all makes fuel for the wood gas stove.

Hello Everyone, I haven't posted in a while... I've been lurking quite a bit though!
I have been prepping away as usual, and I've learnt a few abknew skills in the past few months.
I have been on an urban survival course, been learning about reloading ammunition, Re-done my BASC carcass inspection and butchery course (always good to refresh your knowledge once in a while eh?) and a most fascinating food preservation course.
On the storing side of things I have recently purchased:
1 months worth of mountain house freeze dried food
300x 308. Rounds
30 crossbow bolts
2 new gas mask filters
Plenty of tins (vegatables, meats etc)
Aside from that I have setup an additional rain collection system and moved a cord of logs.

I've been prepping for the yuletide season for the last few weeks  and it's not really prepping as such but I've been lookin into gun clubs, and I'm told that shooting is the second biggest sport in the UK by the seceratary, nothing like as expensive as I feared all these years and you can do it without ever going for a FAC using the clubs guns,, which means we can go and give it a try and have a decent social activity to share as a family and make some friends, alright there's a waitiing list but sounds so much fun and a sense of community, looks like I'll be thanking all you shooters on here, for getting us a foothold out of the house
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

Finally got to Poundland and got the last 2 head torches they had! cant complain for £1, i am still looking a cree ones as they are anything from £5 up and cannot really see the difference?

some new keyring LED torches, they now have a switch on and take CR2016 batteries and as they are flat you can get far more in your EDC

just had a go at sharpening my hand axe, its a bit cheap as chips, but a good start.

Packed up a small multi band radio that my wife got free with something from her catologue, its got FM, MW, AM and 5 SW bands!, so that is now in foil with batteries. :)

still in two minds on traiding my underover for a good sprung air gun? :?

cant wait to open my pressies this year as my wife asked for a list of the small stuff ive been looking at, so my BOB and EDC should look really good come boxing day.

Thats of course if we are all here after the 21st!
