Working on prepping for the cats at the moment. Making sure I have plenty of cat food and litter for them
when it comes to catastrophic events, we never know when the day before is the day before. So we prepare for tomorrow

Treated myself to a battery chainsaw
been looking at one for a while Lidl £50 bare unit (I already have the batteries and chargers) ...
For the amount I'll use it it will do the job..
Was looking at a petrol one but they are more agro than they are worth sometimes especially cheap ones carbs to block up or diaphragms to fail (used to work for a Stihl service agent in my teens) or if not stored properly these are charge battery and go ok it's not as fast as a decent petrol but for pruning and chopping a bit of firewood it'll do it
And I've already got the protective boots trousers gloves and helmet / visor / trauma kit

Spending today setting seeds into trays. Tomato , courgette, and some wild blueberry seeds we have.
Seeing as it's to dangerous to go outdoors right now (wind is savage at the moment), am trying to get indoor stuff sorted.

My electric Screwfix Titan chainsaw is definitely my ‘go-to’ these days. For the amount I use it,my petrol IS a pain to fettle and use .Yorkshire Andy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 9:53 am Treated myself to a battery chainsawbeen looking at one for a while Lidl £50 bare unit (I already have the batteries and chargers) ...

Get the wood pellet litter ours don't kick it about like Fuller's earth or silica... Plus it works in the wood gas stove and Kelly kettleand it seems to not smell like the others

Dad's got a green Bosch 12" electric it's good for the money he paid ( no box or instructions, ex display, no chain ) in the clearance bins from b&q back then they had matching chains with the chainsaws for £8 each
Went for the battery one as I can go do some butchering on the allotment and not need to drag the generator round every time
Got my seed spuds today and some onion sets ready for the allotment glad I've held fire on there looking at tonight's forecasted -3°c spuds are in my shed for now safe from frost

I set my tomatoes into their final places today. We have a similar forecast tonight , so the covers are on along with some heat. New spuds are ripping away in pots in one of the frames,so I am banking on new potatoes for Whitsun.Yorkshire Andy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 3:23 pmDad's got a green Bosch 12" electric it's good for the money he paid ( no box or instructions, ex display, no chain ) in the clearance bins from b&q back then they had matching chains with the chainsaws for £8 eachwas something silly like £20 reduced from £80 ish
