Just got my notes together about what to do in bugging in for a pandemic. Its been dotted about on several threads here, so I've just brought it all together.

Been busy dehydrating this week.
I now have the equivalent of 500g Pinto beans, 500g kidney beans and 500g mushrooms to add to the store cupboard. Next week it's peppers, hash browns and cannellini beans. Need to make some more tomato leather too.

I have spent the entire day, potting -on plants, successional seed-sowing and planting. It has been a productive day.

Received my brand spanking new compound bow yesterday..... I haven't loosed an arrow for maybe 20 years and I haven't hit a gym for.... Erm? ..... A while..... but I'm a big guy so a 68lb pull weight should be no problem?

I nearly bust a blood vessel trying to get it to full cock and had to fake a shoulder injury to spare my blushes in front of my Stepson!

Now have to hit the weights again!

Oh... Got a couple of great quality 50 lt MOLLE backpacks for £20 each.

My Wife knows I used to collect knives and that I'm 'interested' again (she doesn't know the full extent of my prepping) so I dropped hints that I'd really like a Mel Parry 'Brute' survival knife for my birthday! If it happens, I'll let you know..... If I get more socks, I won't.

Junmist, I'm off to a car boot sale tomorrow, hope I have that sort of luck :)

Very productive day there, Jansman. Tomorrow is also supposed to contain some more planting ...

The only thing I've been doing is checking out whether its worth using music magpie again to sell some CDs (decluttering and getting paid for it, to store more preps, you know the sort of thing). But their prices have *really* sunk since the last time I used them - my Farscape CD is actually £3, a chakra chant thing is £1.57, but most of them are going for 25p ... really not worth it.

Working in veg plot today...after trying to reduce the ironing pile a bit.
Sorting my day into hourly slots might help. Must allow for some "feets-up" in the sunshine!
Getting my finances organized better will have to wait for a rainy day.

Excop. Archery uses muscles that you can't really exercise except by doing archery (mind you, I do know a few guys who use Thera-bands as a 'warm-up' )..... Have you joined a club yet ? (membership would get you covered by the national organisation's public liablity insurance... I can send you links if you'd like)

Bought my first vacuum sealer yesterday......... Looking for a dehydrator at the right price now

Re-hanging a couple of axeheads

Been burning some magnesium recently.......... Testing it, honest

Well... Today, walked the dog, cleaned the fowls and spent a very pleasant hour or four sampling my home brewed beer. Lovely!
Now the sun is dropping I need to do some greenhouse watering.
Tomorrow I start some paid butchery relief work. It'll last 3 weeks-but I do name my own price pretty much. Roll on the holiday season-more work!
