I have a folding shovel ( US military job), that only goes into the car when there is a threat of snow. I work in South Derbyshire, so snow in Winter is always a possibility. As Yorkshire Andy said- it’s better than nothing; and to be honest, I have used a folder to dig terriers when fox hunting, and quite successfully, so it would do the job in snow.

Space is a premium in my motor, and I don’t like a lot of clutter either!
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.

Robert Frost.

Covid 19: After that level of weirdness ,any situation is certainly possible.

We have a few pieces of equipment which were formerly stored behind the back seats in the truck (not easy to access if the truck is fully loaded) and also some in the various gloves boxes and storage compartments (first aid, seatbelt cutter, hi-viz, water, food, emergency beacons) etc. Some will remain there and some has been relocated to the new swing box. There are a few duplicates/alternatives between the swing box, other truck compartments and my BOB & EDC working on the 2 is 1 and 1 is none principal and an additional bag to decant items into should we need to abandon the vehicle at any point.
Growing old disgracefully!
