Bladerunner - thank you for the info it is extremely eye opening!!!.....

I for one did not know what was in the flu jab - as stated before after my VERY bad reactions to them over a few years I determined it could not be good for my health and stopped taking them for about 4/5 years now and have never really been sick except with my bronchitis earlier this year - i was even more uneasy last year ( I did not have any last year) when my hubby had his - and if fact he had no time to think about it - he went to GP for one thing and then they rushed him through to take the flu jab - he was then ill for the next 2 weeks!

After that episode - the news started reporting wrong doses had been given to children and that the swine flu vaccine had been included in it - which as stated before if I don't have swine flu why are the authorities willing to pump by body with the vaccine - which in effect will build up a resistance if I really do get ill...

At no point in time was I informed by GP that the flu jab would be a combo when they kept saying you need to take it... - nor was my hubby told before pumping him with it...

I think the morale of the story is for those of you who want to take it - I think do some research on what your going to be injected with (if you don't know) as the information coming out is alarming

Thanks for that SSW, I am sorry to hear about your hubby's experiences.

Live viruses are included in many vaccines as well as dead ones but I assumed that was pretty obvious so never mentioned it.

It was naughty of the doctor to give him a combo without telling him. I am fortunate that my doctor has his head screwed on with many things but I have had doctors in the past that I would not have paid in buttons.

I watched a documentary about alternative medicine on the BBC. There were 3 episodes and one was about accupuncture in China and they were doing open heart surgery just using needles and the patient was awake all the time. In it the lady doctor who was doing the documentary said that in some countries doctors don't get paid until the patient is cured. I would to have that over here. Might make the doctors take more time and effort over us.

- I'm sure I /we will be fine - continuing my regime of vitamins, high does Vit C and Vit D, B12 complex and iron and lots of veg and nice home cooked food - being doing the trick for the last 4/5 years for me.

Yes I was really p***d off when hubby told me, even more so when he got sick - that's the last time he gets it now....

Yeah I had a GP before who kept telling me I was fine when I had problems with my back .......really???? then why do I have titanium pins in it now then........ I wouldn't even give him my spit now - buttons are too clean!

When I was in Belgium, I'd to visit a doc on more than one occasion, and the difference in the way they treat patients there was marked. I'm not saying abolish the NHS...people fought hard to get that up and running. But the days when medicine was a vocation are, I think, long gone and I have seen my share of British doctors and had to wonder why some of them were in a profession they gave a great impression of hating or not having any time for.
My own GP is a case in point...never met anyone more unsuited for doctoring...

I am not having the flu vaccine. I've read enough about side-effects to want to avoid anything unnecessary. I have had flu in the past and it did knock me for six but I am willing to risk that again. I am healthier now than I was then so hopefully that will stand me in good stead.

Bladerunner, I'm glad you don't want selfsufficientwoman's family to get ill when Spring arrives .

I have never had the flu and have now been through two "Pandemics". I had one flu shot when I was in the RAF and another about 6 years ago, and I will avoid having one for as long as possible.

The numbers of people dying from "Flu" is very very small in comparison to those who "supposedly" have been infected by the viruses.

I don't bother "preaching" anymore about the pro's or con's of the vaccine, if you want it then have it, if you don't then don't.

BUT!, make sure YOU do the research into both scenarios and make sure you are happy to face the consequences of the option you chose.
