I'm rotating my food stocks, mainly tins over the next week or two, and re organising, de cluttering, we accumulate so much crap never going anywhere that after a while it's better to store away things which aren't being used much just for breathing room.
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

I've had sleep deprivation all winter. I want to guard against that happening again.

Ordered some blue blocking shooting glasses which should fit over my spectacles to help me reduce my exposure to blue light in the evenings so that I can sleep better.

Also adding some remote control colour change light bulbs to my self therapy for my sleep disorder so that I can have blue light in the morning to wake me up, white light during the day and red light at night to help me get to sleep.

This should help me guard against light based sleep problems in the future.

When I get paid next, I'm gonna get me a "sad" light (bright LED sunlight simulator) so that I can hopefully gain complete control over my sleep patterns properly. Also getting some red plastic filters for the computer and TV screen so that I can blu tak them in place in the evening and reduce my exposure to blue light from electronic things on the road to bedtime.

That lot, with my mind machine should do the trick nicely.

Or failing that, when night time comes, hire someone to whack me in the head with a piece of two by four.

I had a good chat with the SOH earlier in the week, she's agreed a trade-off. I get rid of some of my stored items (mostly computer cabling and the like) and I can use the space it currently takes up for storing foodstuffs and essentials. So, I'll be going through the garage with a survival mentality and performing a few trips to the tip, followed by some quality time with the local supermarkets.

Anyone need any Cat5 cable? :ugeek:

Ebay and Craig's list are your friends here, sell what you can (Ebay has free-listing periods quite often) and use the cash to help finance your stores

Also, see if you have a local freecycle (I found mine via google).
You advertise stuff and people come and take it away (no fees, no payments), this saves you the cost of getting rid

Cat5....Is that the Blue Wire that all good Survivalprepperists need to wrap their weapons in ??

Due to getting some back pay I was owned in my wage packet this month, I went out for my weekly food shop and made it a rather huge one. I stocked up on tinned fruit, cans of tomatoes, extra coffee, a very large bag of pasta as these were all supplies that I had been having to use, so now my kitchen cupboards are fit to burst again. I feel more relaxed now as I hate seeing gaps and empty spots in my kitchen cupboards. I can't stand the feeling that I have opened the last of something and don't have a spare in reserve! Just need to buy the tea and kitchen rolls next week and then I'm all set again with my kitchen stock of spares and spare's spares! :P

As I have some red photographic safelight plastic sheeting coming in the mail, I was thinking of using that to cut down the blue light that one gets from a computer monitor or TV at night (thus making my computer and TV red screened which would look silly), but I think I can get that benefit from the yellow clip on shades (being blue blocking as all yellow sunglasses for night driving are supposed to be) that I also have on order, so I was thinking of using that red plastic sheeting to cover my torches lens so that I can use a light at night without destroying my night vision and keeping the circadian rhythm affecting blue light out of my eyes.

Bought a secondhand mountain bike,
I want it to decrease my weight and increase my fitness/stamina
It will also double up as local transport.

Upgraded the CB antenna on my truck, it now looks like a very big remote control toy!
